The Safety Leader(s) in an organization and the Senior Leadership level have vastly different responsibilities and spheres of influence. However, one of their critical points of intersection is Safety & Risk Management. Safety Leaders often struggle to find ways to establish a meaningful or consistent dialogue with the senior leadership level about support needed, how to overcome obstacles, and a variety of other issues. In this session, we will offer practical advice on what some of those communication obstacles may be, both from the perspective of senior leadership and from safety leadership. We will share some ideas on how to overcome those obstacles and how to develop actionable items that encourage a consistent dialogue.
